Feds Use DUI Arrest Records to Catch Illegal Aliens

Illustrating how sanctuary policies shield dangerous criminals, federal agents captured 141 illegal immigrants in just a few weeks simply by using fingerprints from local drunk driving arrests in one region of the U.S. The operation took place recently in New England, well known for protecting illegal aliens from federal authorities by offering sanctuary through local policies. This includes the entire states of Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts as well as cities in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

In all the cases the illegal immigrants were released into various communities after driving under the influence, according to a high-ranking federal official quoted in a news story published this month in Boston’s conservative newspaper. The official, Todd Michael Lyons, is the deputy field director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Boston and he says local judges and prosecutors are helping illegal immigrants dodge deportation by not reporting drunk drivers to the feds.

“We saw a large number of people with charges dropped down,” Lyons says in the article, adding that “it’s frustrating” and happening throughout New England. “Driving under the influence is a dangerous threat regardless of what country the offender is from,” the ICE director says. “It’s even more disturbing crime when it’s committed by someone who has no legal right to be in this country.”

Among those nabbed in the recent sting, coined Operation: Secure Streets, were a Kenyan national living illegally in Lowell, Massachusetts with pending rape, robbery and strangulation charges. Others include a Honduran in Boston accused of selling cocaine and a Ukrainian in Cambridge with multiple drunk driving convictions.

A previously deported Salvadoran man living in Malden with aggravated assault on a police officer and forgery charges was also arrested in the recent operation as well as a Guatemalan man in New Bedford charged with aggravated assault and wanted for resisting an officer. The Salvadoran man, identified as being 43 years old, also helped a prisoner escape, according to the feds. In a similar sting last year, federal agents arrested dozens of illegal immigrants in the region wanted for dealing drugs.

Local governments that offer illegal immigrants sanctuary have long defied federal orders by releasing criminal aliens—rather than turn them over for deportation—incarcerated for state crimes. In one recent year alone, ICE reported that sanctuary jurisdictions protected nearly 12,000 criminal illegal immigrants throughout the U.S.

During that period more than 17,000 federal detainers were rejected by the sanctuary jurisdictions and around 11,800, or 68%, were issued for individuals with a prior criminal history. In the last few years however, some local governments have taken it a huge step further by actually passing local measures to help illegal immigrants charged with local crimes escape federal custody.

Among them is New York where a few years ago the attorney general issued legal guidance to help municipalities throughout the state provide sanctuary for illegal immigrants. It set a dangerous precedent because it marked the first time a top law enforcement authority, a veteran elected official, actively encouraged and assisted local governments to violate the law.

Nearly a dozen New York municipalities— ranging from sleepy towns like Newburgh to larger cities such as Rochester as well as Albany, the state capital—followed the directive to skirt federal law. Of interesting note is that the attorney general (Eric Schneiderman) who issued the outrageous order resigned in disgrace after being accused of physically abusing four women. The Democrat lawmaker had “made a name for himself as a champion of women’s rights,” according to media reports.

Circling back to the New England region, a few months ago a district judge in Newton, Massachusetts and a court officer got criminally charged for helping an illegal immigrant escape out of the basement door of the Newton District Court. The judge, Shelly M. Richmond Joseph, and court officer, Wesley MacGregor, were federally indicted with conspiracy, obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting.

Judge Joseph allowed the illegal immigrant wanted by federal officers to escape in order to avoid deportation, according to the indictment. The judge reportedly assured the illegal alien’s attorney that she was not going to allow ICE agents into her courtroom to arrest and deport his client.

Are you outraged...yet? THIS is what happens when politicians think themselves to be above the law. How they can stand by and watch crimes be committed by these illegal immigrants is beyond my understanding; yet if American citizens did these things, they'd be held to the letter of the law! WHY do illegal immigrants get a free pass?

Please, write to your local, State and Congressional leaders and implore them to uphold the laws of their cities, states and Country, and demand that illegal immigrants be held accountable for crimes they commit, and deported from our shores if needed. 

Why should American citizens suffer for the crimes that illegal non-citizens commit? That doesn't make any sense!

I am all for immigration! Our great Country was built on it. But is MUST be done within the LEGAL process that Congress has laid out. These laws are the sovereign Right of the United States Government to implement, and anyone who chooses to bypass those laws (and violate our sovereign authority) should be held accountable for their immigration choices, criminal choices and promptly deported.  If they choose to not adhere to our laws, they shouldn't be protected from criminal prosecution.

Democrats Accuse AG Barr of Doing Exactly What Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch Did for Obama

We know what Democrats are guilty of by what they accuse Republicans of doing. We’ve all heard that axiom (or some variation of it) before, yet every time it happens it’s no less shocking that they think they can get away with it. And right now that axiom is proving itself true once again with their targeting of Attorney General William Barr.

Congressional Democrats are clearly aware that the American people do not favor impeachment of President Trump. Even a CNN poll shows that 59 percent of the public oppose impeachment—and that’s a left-leaning poll. While impeaching Trump is, for the moment, off the table because there are no legitimate grounds to do so, the Democratic Party has set its sights on Attorney General Barr. When Democrats didn’t like the findings of the Mueller report, they accused Barr of being a “partisan” who was “handpicked” by Trump to protect him. They now claim Barr’s four-page memo summarizing the conclusions of the report was misleading—which it wasn’t, and that Barr perjured himself during previous testimony to Congress—which he didn’t. Naturally, partisan Democrats are now calling for his impeachment, and presidential candidates are also fundraising by attacking him as well.

As absurd as the claims are that Barr is acting like Trump’s personal lawyer to protect him, it’s difficult not to see that Democrats are making it their business to accuse William Barr of being everything Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch were for Barack Obama.

Neither Holder nor Lynch should have been confirmed as U.S. attorney general in the first place given their radical pasts. In 1970, Eric Holder was the leader of a black separatist group at Columbia University called the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS). As part of the group, Holder participated in a five-day armed takeover of an abandoned ROTC office on the Columbia University campus. He was also a hardcore left-wing partisan who disparaged conservatives and, as deputy attorney general under Bill Clinton, played a major role in the pardoning of Weather Underground terrorists.

Holder’s radical past set the tone for his tenure at the Justice Department, which was defined by politics, not blind justice. One of the earliest scandals of the Obama presidency was Holder’s decision not to prosecute New Black Panther Party members over voter intimidation during the 2008 election. Holder was also behind the stonewalling of many investigations, which prompted 47 (out of 73) inspectors general to write a letter to Congress informing them of the systemic obstruction. Holder clearly saw his job as Obama’s protector and refused to cooperate with congressional investigations, resulting in his being held in contempt of Congress. Holder also funneled billions of dollars to left-wing groups in a huge slush fund scheme. Holder’s politicization of the Department of Justice is undeniable. During a 2013 interview on the Tom Joyner radio show, he dismissed a question about him possibly leaving the administration. “I’m still enjoying what I’m doing, there’s still work to be done. I’m still the president’s wing-man, so I’m there with my boy.” Holder was clearly proud of his unwavering allegiance to Obama, not the rule of law—and wasn’t afraid to say so.

Does anyone recall Democrats accusing Holder of being a partisan handpicked by Obama to protect him? You won't because they never did.

When it finally came time to pick Holder’s replacement, Obama picked Loretta Lynch, who’d also had a long record of radical and racialist views, and it was clear from her testimony that she was going to continue to lead the DOJ the way Eric Holder did—and she came through. As attorney general, Lynch considered using the Department of Justice to prosecute “climate change deniers,” and sued North Carolina over HB2, the so-called “bathroom bill”. Of course, her partisan accolades really shined in her role of protecting Hillary Clinton, Obama’s heir apparent to the presidency. According to former FBI Director James Comey, AG Lynch directed him to call the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server a “matter” and not an “investigation” in order to match the Clinton campaign’s language. According to emails from Democrat operative that were leaked to the New York Times, Lynch “would keep the Clinton investigation from going too far.”

nd then there’s the whole spying on Trump thing.

After eight years of Obama’s cronies politicizing and weaponizing the Justice Department, it took Attorney General Jeff Sessions to de-politicize the Justice Department. Similarly, Attorney General Barr has shown more transparency than the Obama Justice Department ever did. But Democrats aren't happy that the Mueller report didn't tell them what they wanted. Because of this, they are targeting Barr in order to undermine President Trump, and they’re doing so by accusing Barr of being everything that Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch were for Barack Obama.

The absolute and unadulterated hypocrisy of the Democratic Party is absolutely nauseous, and completely un-American as they seek any and all means to remove a sitting President from office for no other reason than...they just don't like him. Sorry; but the last time I checked, a President can only be forcibly removed via impeachment after he has clearly committed crimes against the United States. Unfortunately for the dimwit-ocrats, they have nothing legally to go after President Trump, so they open investigation after investigation and come up with nothing. 
The Democrats have become an embarrassment to the United States as they relentlessly effort an illegal, bloodless coup against their Commander-in-Chief.

The Democrats Trying to Endanger Women via Misguided Legislation

Gender Identity Law Declares War on Women, Forces Trans Men to be Accepted as Female

"House Democrats have reintroduced a bill that would make “gender identity” a protected class under federal civil rights law and force men who identify as women to be treated and accepted as female. If the measure, known as the Equality Act, becomes law, it would drastically impact numerous sectors.

Hospitals and insurance companies will have to provide costly sex-reassignment therapies, employers and workers who don’t conform to new sexual norms will lose their businesses and jobs and women would lose female-only facilities and sports. The only requirement for protection under the bill is a self-declared “gender identity.”

In a statement celebrating the Equality Act’s reintroduction last month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this: “To dismantle the discrimination undermining our democracy, we must ensure that all Americans, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, are treated equally under the law — not just in the workplace, but in education, housing, credit, jury service and public accommodations as well.”

The veteran California congresswoman claims the measure has strong bipartisan support even though two Republicans that supported it when it was first introduced in the last Congress are no longer in office. Florida’s Ileana Ros-Lehtinen retired and Virginia’s Scott Tayler failed to win reelection. Fortunately, the bill is likely to encounter serious resistance in the Republican-majority Senate as well as the White House.

Nevertheless, the transgender movement has become a dangerous war on women and girls and the law floating around in Congress will be detrimental to both. The Equality Act would be a setback to women’s rights in several areas.

American women would be stripped of single-sex accommodations in public multi-stall bathrooms, domestic violence or rape crisis shelters, drug rehabilitation centers, jails, juvenile detention facilities, homeless shelters, locker rooms or group showers. Judicial Watch recently wrote about a separate law that aims to defund women’s shelters that don’t allow transgender men who self-identify as women.

The Equality Act goes further by also stripping a woman’s right to have a person of the same sex conduct security searches on their body, supervise drug tests, handle intimate medical care and supervise children on overnight trips. This is because the language in the proposed law replaces sex with gender identity, open to the claimant’s interpretation, as a protected category.

This would be especially harmful to females in areas such as competitive sports. A decades-old federal measure known as Title IX prohibits discrimination in all federally funded education programs, including sports.

It ensures that boys and girls in elementary through high school and men and women in college have athletic opportunities. If the Equality Act passes males will have the right to compete against females, an atrocity that even the most liberal women and feminists reject.

Among them is tennis legend Martina Navratilova, an 18-time Grand Slam champion who encountered lots of discrimination for coming out as gay during the peak of her professional tennis career in the 1980s. “You can’t just proclaim yourself a female and be able to compete against women,” Navratilova said. “It’s insane and it’s cheating. I am happy to address a transgender woman in whatever form she prefers, but I would not be happy to compete against her. It would not be fair.”

A recent public high school case in Georgia supports the tennis great’s assessment. At a track competition, a transgender athlete easily beat all the females. The mother of one of the demoralized athletes reached out to several women’s rights groups for help but her concerns fell on deaf ears. A conservative public policy women’s organization in Washington D.C. helped the mother express her concerns to Congress.

In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee the mother writes this: “To say that my daughter, as well as the other female athletes, were humiliated and had a sense of defeatism is an understatement. In the words of my daughter, ‘What’s the point Mom, we can’t win.’ Hearing this broke my heart, for my daughter and for all the female athletes, who train so hard, but no matter how hard they work and train they will never be able to beat a biological male. … What are we doing to our girls by forcing them to race biological males?”

Concerned Women for America, the group that assisted the Georgia mother, has conducted extensive research on the Equality Act and recently published a document outlining the measure’s dangerous consequences for women and girls.

Shea Garrison, the organization’s vice president of international affairs, says the bill wrongfully “redefines civil rights law” and “elevates the interests of one group over another.” An esteemed academic, Garrison’s work and research focuses on women’s economic and social empowerment, religious freedom and human rights."

"Is that REALLY Rod Rosenstein on the lectern, or a cardboard cut-out? He is trying his best to show zero reaction to anything AG Barr is saying.     As for the report, I thought the A.G's synopsis was thorough, informative and straight to the point. Unlike the MSM's claims that Barr was a Trump cheerleader in his remarks, the Attorney General was merely emphasizing [several times] that there was NO COLLUSION by the Trump campaign, and that there was no room for any misunderstanding of those findings. Any claims by the MSM of Presidential favoritism are absolutely unfounded, baseless and mere speculatory hysteria solely to whip up and strengthen further anti-Trump bias as the media chooses to do.  Even though the Mueller Report will do nothing to ease the attacks on President Trump, the Attorney General did his job well in representing the facts, as was his professional demeanor and honesty." Oh, so that you understand...I will believe this United States Attorney General over the hateful opinions coming from the leftist-supporting media. I believe in truth, and NOT in the illegal and unconstitutional efforts [by the Democrats] to oust, via coup, our duly elected President. If you care at all about our Republic, the Constitution and the rule of law, you will feel the same.
